Instructions for Authors

Authors are invited to submit electronic versions of full papers with 6 pages, 2-column, single spaced, A4 pages. In exceptional circumstances up to two additional pages will be permitted for a charge of 50 € per additional page. The submitted material must be original, unpublished and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Where a full set of experiments or computational results is not available, the draft papers must be sufficiently detailed to permit a full evaluation of the contribution.

 

Each paper should follow the formatting guidelines for the conference. In particular, the cover page should contain the title, the author's name, affiliation, address and e-mail address, as well as a brief abstract and four to six keywords. detailed formatting instructions can be found in the following documents:

Special Sessions

 

Proposals for special sessions (1 page) can be submitted to either Special Sessions Chairs, using the following e-mail address: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . Each special session must have at least 5 papers. The deadline for proposals is 1 December, 2008. It is planned to organize an open forum to discuss the future and challenges of fuzzy systems.

 

Best Papers Awards

 

Two awards will be given to authors of outstanding papers, one of them for the best student paper award. To qualify for the competition, a student must be the principal author of the paper and the student needs to present the paper. The awardees will be decided based on the manuscript as well as on the presentation.
